Stage Ai is a new education provider founded in San Francisco and launched in China in 2016. Stage Ai is founded by the first generation of students from Mainland China to study the integral approaches to philosophy and psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). 

Stage Ai develops and provides holistic educational programs that bring a Western psychological and spiritual perspective to China, with emphasis on personal growth, experiential programs, and integral leadership in both personal and professional life. Stage Ai seeks specifically to bridge the gap between academic scholarship and daily life experience, combining Eastern wisdom and Western academic perspectives.

 

Sun Yang: Co-founder and President

After gaining a Master's degree in Religion Studies in Hong Kong University, Sun Yang followed his passion in consciousness studies and came to the US. In 2013, Sun gained his second master's degree in PCC (Philosophy, Cosmology and Consciousness Studies) from California Institute of integral Studies(CIIS) as the first one from mainland China. In 2014, Sun came to New York, where he continued to explore his passion in integrating traditional contemplative practices with modern contemporary lifestyle. In the meanwhile, Sun discovered his entrepreneurship and founded Stage Ai in New York in 2016.

With commitment to support the transformation work of individuals and teams, Sun and his colleagues have been offering services in both China and the US to companies including Didi, Alibaba, Future Shapers Institute, Lenovo and more. Sun is currently living in Beijing, China with his wife and over 5000 English books.

Ralph White: Co-Founder and Program Development

Ralph White is co-founder of the New York Open Center, the city's leading center of holistic learning for many years. He is also director of the Esoteric Quest series of international conferences on world wisdom traditions, and co-creator of the Art of Dying programs and trainings. He is the author of the memoir, The Jeweled Highway: On the Quest for a Life of Meaning, and founder of the International Holistic Centers' Gathering which has now become the Holistic Centers' Network. He edited the award-winning magazine, Lapis, has a long-time interest in Chinese culture. Ralph visited China in 2016 which inspired him to join the founding team of Stage Ai, to continue his life-long passion in promoting integarl education and fostering the connection between the east and the west.

Paul King: Co-founder and Business Development

Paul King is a data scientist, product strategist, computational neuroscientist, and software entrepreneur working at the intersection of human psychology and technology strategy. He previously worked in computational neuroscience research as a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley as well as computer vision research in industry. He also led data science teams, first at Facebook as a Product Analytics Manager, and then at Quora, a knowledge-sharing Q&A platform, as Director of Data Science. 

Paul King sees the Bridging of eastern and western thought a contribution to the evolution of global society and consciousness.

Meihong Xu: Education Strategy Advisor

Meihong Xu is a trustee of California Institute of Integral Studies and a well-known investor in Silicon Valley. She was a founding team member of the Softbank Asian Infrastructure Fund (SAIF) and has worked on venture investments in several Asian and US technology projects. Mei has also worked for other Silicon Valley companies, including Apple Computer and Sun Microsystems. Mei also serves on the board of One Heart Worldwide, which provides training and birth centers to local midwives, and establishes a safety net for mothers and infants in remote rural areas around the world.

Healing the Wounds of History

Healing the Wounds of History is a process in which experiential techniques are used to work with a group of participants who share a common legacy of historical trauma. The process is based on the premise that there can be no political solutions to intercultural conflict until we understand and take into consideration the needs, emotions and unconscious drives of the human being.
